DRee Church-Krohn
As the stylist/owner with over 20 years of education, training and experience,
DRee credits many of the industry's best talent for her never ending
passion. Some of the people and organizations she has been fortunate
to learn from have been, Sasoon, Rusk, Aveda, and Paul Mitchell. Having
worked approximately seven years as an assistant to Mr. Lyal McCaig,
the previous Artistic Director of IBS, DRee traveled to many locations
throughout the US supporting him. She has had extensive opportunities
to work closely with some of her mentors. These experiences prepared
her as an educator for ARTec in the Northeast GA area. DRee has been
a member of the Salon Association since 1999, a previous member of NCA
and GCA, and she currently sits on the Advisory Board for Cosmetology at
Athens Area Technical College. DRee has an unquenchable thirst for learning
and is always up for a challenge, and motivates her staff similarly. We
can’t
pinpoint a specialty for DRee because she excels in all categories. Her
joy comes from transforming her guests to a new level by providing amazing
hair color along with a flattering haircut and style each and every time.
As a native Athenian, DRee believes in and commits to giving back to the community in many ways. DRee and Company supports a large number of local charities and fundraising events. We are a long time member of the Professional Beauty Association (PBA) and Business Network International. Hope Haven Board Member and Athens Technical College Advisory Board for Cosmetology and Business.

Mi Son Watson - Master Cosmetologist
It all started for Mison in Seoul, Korea at the Bobo Salon in 2002. She moved
to Athens, attended and graduated from the Athens Technical College Cosmetology
program and has expanded her ability with extensive advanced training with
Keune, Redken and Paul Mitchell. She specializes in all types of color processes
and provides her guests with personal guidance on maintaining and keeping
their new look fresh and beautiful.

Layne Lasseter – Spa Manager/Aesthetician This Dothan Alabama girl seems right at home in the Classic City and DRee and Company. Going on 7 years since she relocated, Layne decided to take her interest in skin care to the next level and commute to Atlanta Institute of Aesthetics, a division of Atlanta school of massage. Her facials are relaxing and informative, while her reflexology treatments are worth it all. You can receive a mini reflexology in your facial or schedule a full service one as well. Layne also provides waxing hair removal and body facials and treatments.

Sarah Chapman
Sarah developed an interest in cosmetology in a Lawrenceville salon at 15 years
old. After high school she attended the AVEDA Institute in Atlanta where she
focused on hair color. Since graduating she has worked exclusively with AVEDA
and in AVEDA Concept/Lifestyle salons in and around the Atlanta area including
Key Lime Pie Salon & Spa in Virginia Highlands until she joined us here
in October 2007. She is constantly expanding her knowledge and skill in hair
cutting, chemical services, and make up.

Kimberly Furney
Kimberly is from Monroe, by way of Bainbridge, GA. She began as an assistant
at Reflections Salon in Conyers while pursuing her master cosmetology degree
from Athens Technical College. Since graduating in 2007, she has attended advanced
classes with Redken, Paul Mitchell and AVEDA. She is the newest addition at
our protégé stylist level and is excited to begin her career
here.

April
April
hails from Dothan, AL and has worked with special needs children for the past
eight years. It was 2 years ago while working with these children that she
realized how well they responded to gentle massage. It helped to relax and
calm them from an agitated state when nothing else would. That’s
when she decided to pursue massage therapy as a vocation. She received her
certification from the Athens Institute for Massage and came on staff in March
of 2009. April truly enjoys her profession and the benefits her guests derive
from it. She will continue to devote time to her special needs children as
well.
